Refurbishment Project
Cardiff University appointed Ian Bridge Consultancy to design and contract administer their new computer facility within the ENCAP Department in the John Percival Building on their Colum Road Campus in central Cardiff, working in partnership with mechanical and engineering design partners CBG Consultants
A series of detailed briefing meetings were held with the Cardiff University Estates Department and the representatives of the ENCAP Department to establish a defined brief for the refurbishment of existing occupied space within the building.
We inspected the areas to be refurbished within the scheme, undertook a check measured survey of drawings provided by the Estates Department and produced CAD design drawings and specifications working closely with our mechanical and Engineering design partners CBG Consultants.
Further design review meetings confirmed the final refurbishment scheme approved by the Department, significantly improving the existing arrangements for computer access for students within the refurbished space. The scheme was tendered to approved University contractors and contract administered by Ian Bridge Consultancy on site.
