Part Wall Awards

The Client approached Ian Bridge Consultancy Limited for assistance with their Party Wall Award. They were intending to complete a refurbishment and expansion of their existing restaurant which would involve major structural works.

Due to the city centre location of the property, Ian Bridge Consultancy was faced with the task of working with a combination of varied adjoining ownerships both commercial and residential. This called for a careful and considerate approach to the project so as to create minimal disturbance for the surrounding residents.

Due to the extensive and poor condition of the building fabric comprehensive schedules of condition were needed to accurately record the condition of all aspects of the structure. This had to be completed before any major structural alterations could be undertaken and the Awards finalised.
